HomeMy Public PortalAboutR3658 HR Trustee Singer Retiree ReslutionRESOLUTION NO. 3658 WHEREAS, Trustee James Singer served on the Board of Trustees of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District from January 12, 2016 to March 15, 2021, having held the position of Chair of the Board of Trustees; and WHEREAS, Trustee Singer’s strong leadership, knowledge and expertise imparted direction and stability to the District; and WHEREAS, Trustee Singer’s contribution serving as both chair and member of the Audit and Pension Committees and as a member of the Finance, Stakeholders and Audit Committees assured a continued diligent focus on the District’s fiscal matters; and WHEREAS, Trustee Singer’s contributions to the St. Louis Community reach far beyond his service on the District's Board, including but not limited to, formerly serving as Field Attorney with Region 14 National Labor Relations Board (NLRB); as a member of the Employee Benefits Committee of the Labor and Employment Law Section of the ABA Committee and Union Co-Chair; Trustee Singer also served as Senior Editor for the 1st Edition of the EBL, Co-Chair of the Board of Senior Editors for 2nd Edition of EBL and was nominated by the AFL-CIO to serve on the U.S. Department of Labor ERISA Advisory Council. He was also inducted as a Charter Fellow of the American College of Employee Benefits Counsel, an honor to lawyers in practice for more than 20 years who have made significant public service contributions in the field of employee benefits. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT; THAT, this Board on behalf of itself, the District and the people it serves, herewith expresses its sincere appreciation and gratitude to Trustee Singer for his service on the Board of Trustees and for his many contributions to the St. Louis Community. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, THAT, a copy of this Resolution be presented to Trustee Singer in recognition of his service and accomplishment. The foregoing Resolution was adopted on April 8, 2021.
