ORDINANCE NO. 1284
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD
ESTABLISHING THE SALARY FOR THE CITY CLERK
AND THE CITY TREASURER
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Lynwood has
previously adopted Ordinance No. 1104 establishing salaries for
the City Clerk and the City Treasurer; and
WHEREAS, Section 36517 of the Government Code of the
State of California authorizes the City Council to modify this
salary from time to time; and
WHEREAS, the City Council deems it appropriate at this
time to increase the salary of the City Clerk and the City
Treasurer in the amounts set forth herein;
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD, CALIFORNIA,
DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Section 2.9 of the Lynwood Municipal Code
is hereby amended in full to read as follows:
"The compensation of the city clerk shall be the sum
of Dollars ($1500.00 ) per month. The
compensation of the city treasurer shall be
Dollars ($ 400..00 ) per month. The salaries of
both officials shall be payable bi-weekly or on such
other basis as the City Council may from time to time
determine."
Section 2. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in
conflict herewith are, to the extent of such conflict, are
hereby repealed, as of the effective date of this ordinance,
but shall remain in full force and effect until such date.
Section 3. This ordinance shall become effective on
the 16t d~ January ~ 1987.
Section 4. City Clerk of the City of Lynwood is
hereby directed to certify to the passage of this ordinance and
to cause the same to be published one time within 15 days of
its passagae in the Lynwood Press, a newspaper of general
circulation, printed and published in the City of Lynwood.

First read at a regular meeting in the City Council of
such City held on the 18th day of November 1986, and
finally adopted and ordered published at a regular of said
council held on the 16th day of December, 1986, by the
following vote:
AYES: MEMBERS HENNING, MORRIS, RICHARDS, WELLS
NOES: NONE
ABSENT: MEMBER BYORK
