Leesburg to Host Freedom of Information Act Training
Leesburg, VA (June 6, 2014) – The Town of Leesburg is hosting a training session on the
Freedom of Information Act (FOIA), the Conflict of Interest Act (COIA) and Robert’s Rules of
Order for all Town Board and Commission members. Training will take place on Wednesday,
June 11, 2014, at 6:00 p.m. in the Town Council Chambers at the Leesburg Town Hall (25 West
Market Street).
Speakers will include the Honorable J. Randall Minchew, Virginia House of Delegates, and Maria
Everett, Executive Director of the Virginia Freedom of Information Advisory Council. Jeanette
Irby, Leesburg Town Attorney, will serve as the session moderator.
The training session is open to the public. Registration begins at 5:30 p.m. Please RSVP to
