A Special Meeting was held by the Mayor and Council of the Borough
of Carteret on January 27, 2000, 6:15 P.M., Municipal CourtlPolice
Facility, 230 Roosevelt Avenue, Carteret, New Jersey.
PRESENT
The following were noted present:
Mayor James A. Failace
Councilmember Patrick Crilley
" Jack Fazekas
" James O'Brien
" Buddy Sohayda
Noted absent were Councilmembers Remy Quinones and Janet
Santoro.
Also noted present were Borough Attorney Craig Coughlin, Paul
Mercatanti, Mike Bucsak and John Hadyniak.
STATEMENT OF MEETING NOTICE
Mailed to The Home News Tribune, The Star Ledger and posted on
the Bulletin Board on January 21, 2000.
PURPOSE OF MEETING
To adopt a resolution to go into Closed Session, Re: AFSCME
gnevance.
RESOLUTION #00-45 was introduced by the Mayor and referred to
the Council for action.
Upon MMS&C by Councilmembers O'Brien and Fazekas
RESOLUTION #00-45
"RESOLUTION TO GO INTO CLOSED SESSION"
was adopted. Upon individual roll call vote Councilmembers Crilley,
Fazekas, O'Brien and Sohayda voted in the affirmative.
Councilmembers Quinones and Santoro were noted absent.
At approximately 6: 16 P.M., a Closed Session was held.
Upon MMS&C by Councilmembers O'Brien and Sohayda and
unanimous affirmative vote of the full membership present, the
meeting was opened to the public at approximately 6:44 P.M.
