HomeMy Public PortalAboutOrd. 1255 ORDINANCE N0. 1255 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD AMENDING CHAPTER 25 OF THE LYNWOOD MUNI- CIPAL CODE BY CHANGING THE ZONING CLASSIFICATION OF CERTAIN PROPERTIES FROM CB-1 (CONTROLLED BUSI- NESS) TO R-3 (MULTI-FAMILY RESIDENTIAL). The City Council of the City of Lynwood DOES HEREBY ORDAIN as follows: Section 1_. Chapter 25 of the Lynwood P4unicipal Code and the official zoning map are hereby amended to reclassify the following pronerti_es from CS;-1 (Control:~.ed Business) to R-3 (L4ulti-family Residential): Legall,~ described as: Tract No. 3172, Lots 982, 983 and 984. Section 2. The Negative Declaration prepared by the Community Develop- ment Department for this change of zone is in compliance with the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) and is hereby certified. Section 3. Severability. If. any section, subsection, subdivision, sentence, clause, phrase or portion of this ordinance, or the application there- of r~~ any person or place, is for any reason held to be invalid or unconstitu- tional by the decision of any court of competent jurisdiction, such decision shall not affect the validity of. the remaining portions of this ordinance or its application to other persons or places. The City Council hereby declares that it would have adopted. this ordinance, and each section, subsection, subdivision, sentence, clause, phrase or portion thereof, irrespective of the fact that any one or more sections, subsections, subdivisions, sentences, clauses, phrases, or portions, or the application thereof to any person or place, be declared invalid or unconstitutional. First read at..a-regular meeting of the City Council of said City held on the 4th day of June 1985, and finally ordered published at a regular meeting of said Council held on the 18th day of June 1985.
