AN APPROPRIATION ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE SUBMITTAL,
ACCEPTANCE, AND APPROPRIATION OF A GRANT FROM
THESTRIDE RITE CORPORATION FOUNDATION
WHEREAS, The Stride Rite Corporation Foundation has grant funding available; and
WHEREAS, the City of Richmond Parks Department desires to submit a grant application to with the costs associated to run the “Just Us Kids Outdoors” (JUKO) summer program and kids camp;
and
WHEREAS, no local match is required for this grant.
NOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained by the Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana, as follows:
1. The City of Richmond Parks Department is hereby authorized to submit a grant application to the Stride Rite Corporation Foundation to assist with the costs associated to run the
(JUKO) summer program and kids camp.
2. The City of Richmond Parks Department is authorized to accept said grant funding in an amount up to Seven Thousand Five Hundred Five Dollars ($7,500.00).
3. Said funds, if awarded to the City of Richmond, shall be appropriated to assist with the costs associated to run the (JUKO) summer program and kids camp.
Passed and adopted this 3rd day of September, 2002, by the Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana.
