THR CITY OF LY,NWOOD AMENDING CHAPTER
25 OF THE 1,YNWOOD MUNICIPAL CODE, THF.
ZONING ORDINANCE, PERTAINING TO SETBACK
REQUI P.E PiENTS FOR CHURCHES ANll SCHOOT,S
The City Council of the City of Lynwood DOES IIEREBY
ORDAIN as follows:
Section 1. A reasonable property separation should
be made as determined by the Building Official.
Section 2. Section 25-16.9 of Chapter 25 of the
Municipal Code is hereby amended to read as follows:
In the R zones no building shall be hereafter erected,
structurally altered or used for a school, church, institution
or other similar use permitted under the "Use" regulations of
this chapter, unless such buildings are removed at least fifteen
(15) feet from every boundary line of property included in an
R zone. The above-mentioned condition does not apply to those
boundaries of adjacent properties t}iat are occupied by non-
residential uses, provided that part of the front yard between
the front facade of the building and the street shall be used
solely for landscaping, sidewalks or driveway.
Section 3. Severability. If any section, subsection,
~+ subdivision, sentence, clause, phrase or portion of this ordinance
or the application thereof to any person or place, is for any
1 reason held to be invalid or unconstitution a]. by the decision of

any court or competent jurisdiction, such decision shall not
affect the validity of the remaining portions of this ordinance
or its application to other persons or places. The City Council
hereby declares that it would have adopted this ordinance, and
each section thereof, irrespective of the fact that any one or
more section, subsection, sentence, clause, phrase or portion,
or the application thereof. to any person or place, be declared
invalid or unconstitutional.
Section 4. The City Clerk is hereby ordered and directed
to certify to the passage of this ordinance and to cause the same
to be published once in the Lynwood Press, a newspaper of general
circulation, printed, published, and circulated in the City of
Lynwood.
