ORDINANCE N0. 1244
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD
EYTENDING THE TERMS AND PROVISIONS OF INTERIM URGENCY
ORDINANCE N0, 1240, TEMPORARILY PROHIBITING THE CON-
VERSION OF RESIDENTIAL USES TO ^ONDOMINIUh;S, CO-OPS OR 000PERA-
TIVES IN ANY RESIDENTIAL ZONE~PENDING COh:PLETION OF A
STUDY AND REPORT BY THE PLANNING DIVISION,
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE C1TY OF LYNWOODaDOES HEREBY FIND,
RESOLVE,AND DETERMINE AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The City Council hereby finds and determines that,
pursuant to the terms and provisions of Section 65858 of the Govern-
ment Code, the City Council, on December 18, 1984, enacted Interim
Urgency Ordinance No. 1240 temporarily prohibiting subject residential
uses.
Section 2. The City Council further finds and determines that,
in accordance with Ordinance No. 1240,. it is necessary to extend the terms
and provisions of said ordinance for an additional term of ten (10) months
and fifteen (15) days, pending completion of a study and report by the
Planning Division,
Section 3. The City Council further finds that all objections to
said extension should be overruled, and it is therefore ordered that Interim
Urgency Ordinance No. 1240 be extended'ah additional. term of ten (10) months and
fifteen (15) days, thereby terminating on November 30, 1985.
Section 4. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this
ordinance and shall file a certified copy thereof with the Planning Commission.
Secticn 5. RF4FRART'TTY If any section, subsection, subdivision,
sentence, clause, phrase or portion of this ordinance cr the application thereof
to any person or place, is for any reason held to be invalid or unconstitutional
by the decision of any court or competent jurisdiction, such decision shall not
affect the validity of the remaining portions of this ordinance or its applicaticn
to other persons or places. The City Council hereby declares that it would have
adopted this ordinance, and each section thereof, irrespective of the fact ths~t
any one or more sections, subsections, sentences, clauses, phrases, or portions,
of the application thereof to any person or place, be declared invalid or uncon-
stitutional.
Secticn 6. The City Clerk is hereby ordered and directed to certify
to the passage of this ordinance and to cause the same to be published once in the
Lynwood Press, a newspaper of general circulation, printed, published, and circulated
in the City of Lynwood.

ordered published at a. regular meeting of said Council held on the
15th day of January 1985.
