ORDINANCE NO. 1223
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
LYNwOOD AMENDING CHAPTER 25 OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE,
THE ZONING ORDINANCE, EXPANDING FROM THREE (3) TIMES
A YEAR,:"~o FOUR (4) TIMES A YEAR THE NUMBER OF`
AMENDMENTS THE CITY MAY MAKE TO ITS GENERAL PLAN.
The City Council of the City of Lynwood DOES HEREBY ORDAIN
as follows:
Section 1. Section 25-31.3c of Chapter 25 of the Municipal
Code, the Zoning Ordinance, shall be amended to read as follows:
"c. The Planning Commission shall hold public hearings
on any applications for, or any staff-recommended
amendments to any mandatory element of the General Plan.
Such hearings shall be conducted on the second Tuesdays
of March, June, September, and December of any calen-
dar year.

Section 2. Severability if any section, subsection,
subdivision, sentence, clause, phrase or portion of this ordinance
or the application thereof to any person or place, is for any reason
held to be invalid or unconstitutional by the decision of any court
of competent jurisdiction, such decision shall not affect the
validity of the remaining portions of this ordinance or its application
to other persons or places. The City Council hereby declares that
it would have adopted this ordinance, and each section .thereof
irrespective of the fact that any one or more sections, subsections,
sentences, clauses, phrases, or portions, or the application thereof
to any person or place, be declared invalid or unconstitutional.
Section 3. The City Clerk is hereby ordered and directed
to certify to the passage of this ordinance and to cause the same to
be published once in the Lynwood Press, a newpaper of general cir-
culation, printed, published, and circulated in the City of Lynwood.
