AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD
AMENDING CHAPTER 25 OF THE LYNWOOD MUNICIPAL CODE, THE
ZONING ORDINANCE, BY PLACING COMPARABLE CITY ZONING DIS-
TRICTS ON LOS ANGELES COUNTY PROPERTY BEING PROPOSED AS
ANNEXATION AREA N0. 3 TO LYNWOOD
Section 1. Chapter 25 of the Lynwood Municipal Code, the Zoning
Ordinance, and the officialzoning map are amended to pre-zone property
in proposed annexation No. 3 to district categories as shown on attachment
No. 1. City districts are similar to those presently being used by Los
Angeles County on properties inannexation area No. 3 and are in conformance
with County General Planning for the area. The Lynwood Planning Commission
has determined that a negative declaration is appropriate in that no signifi-
cant impacts are anticipated due to the project of pre-zoning and annexation.
The pre-zoned real property is described as follows:
Beginning at the intersection of the southerly prolongation of the westerly
line of Lot 11, Block B, of Watts Park Tract, as shown on map recorded in
Book 8, page 70, of Maps, in the office of the Registrar-Recorder of the County
of Los Angeles, with the centerline of that certain Alley, 15, feet wide, as
shown on said map lying southerly of and adjoining said lot, said intersection
being an angle point in the boundary of the City of Lynwood as same existed
on June 1, 1984, said intersection also being a point in the boundary of the
City of Los Angeles as same existed on said date: thence shoutherly along said
last mentioned boundary to its intersection with the centerline of Imperial
Highyay, as shown. on said map, said last mentioned also being an angle point
in the boundary of the City ofLynwood as same existed on said date; thence
easterly, northerly, westerly, northerly and westerly along said least mentioned
boundary to the point of beginning.
Section 2. Severability. If any section, subsection, subdivision,
sentence, clause, phrase or portion of this ordinance or the application there-
of to any person or place, is for any reason held to be invalid or unconsti-
tutional by the decision of any court or competent jurisdiction, such decision
shall not affect the validity of the remaining portions of this ordinance or
its application to other persons or places. The City Council hereby declares
that it would have adopted this ordinance, and each section thereof, irrespec-
tive of the fact that any one or more section, subsection, sentence, clause,
phrase or portion, or the application thereof to any person or place, be
declared invalid or unconstitutional.
.Section 3. The City Clerk is hereby ordered and directed to certify
to the passage of this ordinance and to cause the same to the published once in
the 4Lynwood Press, a newspaper of general circulation, printed, published, and
circulated in the City of Lynwood.
' First read at a regular meeting of the City Council of said City held
on the 7th day of AUgUSt 1984, and finally ordered published at a
regular meeting of said Council held on the 21St day of AUgUSt . 1984.
