Leesburg Kicks Off Free Movies in the Park Summer Series
on Friday, June 20, 2014
Leesburg, VA (June 16, 2014) – Get the popcorn
ready! The Town of Leesburg is excited to
welcome a new addition to the summer calendar,
Movies in the Park. We invite you to start a new
family tradition this summer and join us at Ida
Lee Park on the third Friday each month for a
movie under the stars.
On Friday, June 20, 2014, the first Movie in the
Park will be the 1980’s comedy-adventure classic, “Goonies.” Gates will open at 8:30pm with
show time at dusk, between 9:00 and 9:15pm. Admission is free. Picnics and blankets are
welcome. Pets, glass containers and alcohol, however, are prohibited.
Parking for Movies in the Park will be at the A.V. Symington Outdoor Aquatic Center and movies
will be shown near the soccer fields.
Mark your calendars now! July’s feature flick will be the family favorite, “The Lego Movie,” on
Friday, July 18, 2014. The final movie of the summer, on Friday, August 15, 2014, will be a
people’s choice! Watch for future details on how you can vote to choose the final movie of the
season.
