PLACE: Riverdale City Hall, 110 Manor Drive, Riverdale, Iowa
DATE: February 8, 2022 TIME: 6:3o P.M.
NOTE: The Maximum Levy Workshop was held in -person at the appointed time and day in accordance with
open meeting laws set and defined by the State of Iowa (Sections 21.2 and 21.8).
1. WELCOME & CALL TO ORDER - Heddlesten called the meeting to order at 6:4o p.m.
2. ROLL CALL - Present: Adams, Jurgena, Krell, Littrel. Absent: DCamp. Also present: Mayor Heddlesten,
City Administrator Royster, and several members of the public.
3. PRESENTATION REGARDING MAXIMUM LEVY - Heddlesten presented information on the
proposed maximum levy. A maximum general levy of $8.10 was proposed, which signified general tax revenue
of $635,000. In addition, a capital improvements levy of $.67/$1,000 of assessed value for a total levy of
$52,620. Riverdale's agricultural land revenue is projected at $24, which is $3/$1,000 of assessed value.
4. PUBLIC COMMENT - Several members of the public commented and asked questions.
5. CITY COUNCIL DISCUSSION - Council discussed the proposed maximum levy.
6. ADJOURNMENT - Krell moved to adjourn, seconded by Littrel. All ayes; MC.
