AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF LYNWOOD AMENDING ORDINANCE N0. 1103 PROVIDING
FOR AN AUTO ALLOWANCE FOR COUNCIL MEMBERS
The City Council of the City of Lynwood HEREBY DOES
ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. In addition to the salary established by
Section 1 of Ordinance No. 1026, members of the City Council shall
be reimbursed for expenses incurred by them in the use of their
personal vehicles in the performance of their duties in the sum
of One Hundred Seventy Five ($175) dollars per month, effective
July 1, 1983.
Section 2. Severability. If any section, subsection,
sub-division, sentence, clause, phrase or portion of this ordinance,
or the application thereof to any person or place, is for any
reason held to be invalid or unconstitutional in the decision of
any court of competent jurisdiction, such decision shall not affect
the validity of the remaining portions of this ordinance or its
application to other persons or places. The City Council hereby
declares that it would have adopted this ordinance, and each
section, subsection, sub=division, sentence, clause, phrase, or portion
thereof, irrespective of the fact that any one or more sections, sub-
divisions, sentences, clauses, phrases, or portions, or the applica-
tion thereof to any person or place, be declared invalid or un-
constitutional.
Section 3. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed
to certify as to the passage of this ordinance and to cause the same
to be published once in the Lynwood Press, a newspaper of general
circulation, printed, published, and circulated in the City of
Lynwood.
FIRST READ at a regular meeting of the City Council of
said City held on the 2nd day of AUGUST 1983, and finally
ordered published at a regular meeting of said Council held on the
16th day of AUGUST 1983.
