Home My Public Portal About074-2002 - Grant - Petroleum Remediation Grant Incentive Fund ORDINANCE NO- 74- 2002 AN APPROPRIATION ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE SUBMITTAL, ACCEPTANCE, AND APPROPRIATION OF A GRANT FROM THE INDIANA DEVELOPMENT FINANCE AUTHORITY PETROLEUM REMEDIATION GRANT INCENTIVE FUND WHEREAS, The Indiana Development Finance Authority Petroleum Remediation Grant Incentive Fund has grant funding available; and WHEREAS, the City of Richmond desires to submit a grant application to assist with the costs associated with expenses to perform the environmental remediation activities in the Starr-Gennett area of the Whitewater Valley Gorge; and WHEREAS, no local match is required for this grant. NOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained by the Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana, as follows: 1. The City of Richmond is hereby authorized to submit a grant application to the Indiana Development Finance Authority Petroleum Remediation Grant Incentive Fund to assist with the costs associated with expenses to perform the environmental remediation activities in the Starr-Gennett area of the Whitewater Valley Gorge. 2. The City of Richmond Police Department is authorized to accept said grant funding in an amount up to Two Hundred Fifty Thousand Dollars ($250,000.00). 3. Said funds, if awarded to the City of Richmond, shall be appropriated for assistance with the costs associated with expenses to perform the environmental remediation in the Starr-Gennett area of the Whitewater Valley Gorge.
