AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
LYNWOOD AMENDING CHAPTER 5 OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE
(ANIMALS AND POUNDS), ADOPTING A REGULATION
RELATIVE TO THE PRORATION OF FEES FOR DOG LICENSES
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD does hereby ordain as
follows:
SECTION 1. Chapter 5, Section 19 of the Municipal Code of the
City of Lynwood is amended to add Sub-Section (d) to read as follows:
5-19.d. Original or renewal License Fees to be ororated
for each dog license in accordance with the appropriate
schedule delineated in the Fee Schedule, Resolution No.
81-164.
SECTION 2. Severability. If any section, subsection, subdivision,
sentence, clause, phrase or portion of this ordinance, or the application
thereof to any person or place, is for any reason to be invalid or unconstitu-
tional by the decision of any court of competent jurisdiction, such decision
shall not affect the validity of the remaining portions of this ordinance
or its application to other persons or places. The City Council hereby
declares that it would have adopted this ordinance, and each section, sub-
section, subdivision, sentence, clause, phrase or oortion thereof, irrespective
of the fact that any one or more section, subsections, subdivisions, sentences,
clauses, phrases, or portions, or the application thereof to any person or
place, be declared invalid or unconstitutional.
SECTION 3. The City Clerk is hereby ordered and directed to certify
to the passage of this ordinance and to cause the same to be published once
in the Lynwood Press, a newspaper of general circulation, printed, published
and circulated in the City of Lynwood. ,
First read at a regular meeting of the City Council of said City
held on the 18th day of January 1983, and finally ordered published
at a regular meeting of said Council eld on the 1st day of February ,
1983.
