BOARD OF PLUMBING EXAMINERS & REVIEW
September 10, 2018

CALL TO ORDER
The Board of Plumbing Examiners & Review met September 10, 2018, in the Boone
Bancroft Conference Room of the John G. Christy Municipal Building. The meeting was
called to order by Richard Hunt, Plumbing Inspector, at 5:05 p.m. A quorum was
present.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES FROM THE JULY 10, 2018 MEETING
A motion was made by Mike Engelbrecht and seconded by Jerry Raithel to approve the
minutes of the July 10, 2018 meeting. Motion passed by show of hands.
REVIEW LICENSE APPLICATION
• A motion was made by Jerry Raithel and seconded by David Wright to approve
Dustin Volkart to receive his Masters license. Motion passed unanimously by
show of hands.
OLD BUSINESS
• Plumbing License Renewals: Plumbing Board Members requested that they
have renewal options submitted to them to review at the next Board Meeting.
NEW BUSINESS
City staff will be mailing a letter to all Jefferson City licensed plumbing contractors. The
purpose of the letter is to remind plumbing contractors to submit a permit application
and permit fee to the City's Building Regulations Division prior to beginning work. The
Plumbing Board will submit suggested revisions to the current Plumbing Licensing
Application in attempt to make it more concise and user-friendly.

SCHEDULE NEXT MEETING
The Plumbing Board's next meeting date is to be determined, but will be sometime after
Thanksgiving 2018. Board Members will be notified at least 1 week prior to the
meeting.
ADJOURNMENT
With no further business, a motion was made by David Wright and seconded by Brent
Haas to adjourn the meeting. Motion passed by show of hands. The meeting was
adjourned at 6:30 p.m.
