AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD
AMENDING SECTION 9,3 OF ORDINANCE N0, 1134 AND AMENDING
CHAPTER 10 OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD
The City Coi'tncil of the City of Lynwood does hereby ordain as follows:
SECTION L Section 9.3 of Ordinance No. 1134 is hereby amended as
follows:
9.3 The Communit Access Cor oration a non-profit corporation, termed
the Community Access Corporation (CAC), shall be formed to manage the use
of the Public Access and other Community Channels of the cable television
system. At the option of the City Council it may designate itself as the
CAC Board of Directors, The CAC Board of Directors shall within sixty (60)
days of incorporation or as soon thereafter as is reasonably feasible, sub-
mit to Grantor a plan and rules for the management, operation and use of
the Public Access and Community Channels. Said plan of operation shall. in-
clude provision for adequate insurance to be obtained with CAC funds, to
protect Grantor and Grantee from liability associated with Community Access
Programming. Grantor and Grantee shall be provided with such insurance cover-
age as is reasonably necessary and is in accord with industry practice with
respect to Community Access Programming.
SECTION 2. Chapter 10 of the Code of the City of Lynwood is hereby
amended to read as set forth in Exhibit A, hereto which is a restatement
of Ordinance 1134 as amended by Ordinance 1149 and Section 1 of this Ordi_
nance,
SECTION 3, Severability. If any section, subsection, subdivision,
sentence, clause, phrase or portion of this ordinance or the application
thereof to any person or place, is for any reason held to be invalid or
unconstitutional by the decision of any court o;" roa:petent jurisdiction,
such decision shall.not affect the va~l~d ty;of ~_`he remai.ning portions of-this
ordinance or its application to other persons or places. The City Council
hereby declares that it would have adopted this ordinance, and such sec-
tion, subsection, subdivision, sentence, ';'_ause, phrase or portion thereof,
irrespective of the fact that any one or more sections, subsections, sub-
divisions, sentences, clauses, phrases, or portions, or the application
thereof to any person or place, be declared invalid or unconstitutional.
SECTION 4. The City 11er1; is hereby ordered and directed to certify
to the passage of this ord_r...;ace and to cause the same to be published
once in the Lynwood Press, a newspaper of general circulation in the City
of Lynwood.
