AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF LYN6400D AMENDING ORDINANCE N0. 570, THE
ZONING ORDINANCE, ESTABLISHING ORDERLY
PROCEDURES FOR PROCESSING GENERAL PLAN AMEND-
MENTS DURING ANY CALENDAR YEAR.
The City Council of the City of Lynwood DOES HEREBY
ORDAIN as follows:
SECTION 1. Section 25-31.3c of Ordinance No. 570, the
Zoning Ordinance, shall be amended to read as follows:
"c. The Planning Commission shall hold public hearings on
any applications for, or any staff-recommended amend-
ments to any mandatory element of the General Plan.
Such hearings shall be conducted on the second Tues-
days of February, dune and October of any calendar year.
"A hearing shall be conducted at the Commission's
regular meeting on the second Tuesday of February,
Oune, and October of any calendar year, unless a
majority of the entire Commission shall consent to
consideration of a proposed amendment at some other
time-,"
SECTION 2. Severability. If any section, subsection, sub-
division, sentence, clause, phrase or portion of this ordinance or
the application thereof to any person or place, is for any reason
held to be invalid or unconstit~onal by the decision of any court
of competent jurisdiction, such decision shall not affect the validity
of the remaining portions of this ordinance or its application to
other persons or places. The City Council hereby declares that it
would have adopted this ordinance, and each section thereof, irres-
pective of the fact that any one or more sections, subsections, sen-
tences, clauses, phrases, or portions, or the application thereof to
any person or place, be declared invalid or unconstitutional.
SECTION 3. The City Clerk is hereby ordered and directed
to certify to the passage of this ordinance and to cause the same tc
be published once in the Lynwood Press, a newspaper of general cir-
culation, printed, published, and circulated in the City of Lynwood.
First read at a regular meeting of the City Council of said
City held on the 7th day of September , 1982, and finally
ordered published at a regular meeting of said Council held on the
21st day of September 1982.
