ORDINANCE N0. 1184
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF LYNWOOD AMENDING ORDINANCE N0. 570, THE
ZONING ORDTNANCE, PERTATNING TO THE APPLICA-
BILITY OF OFF-STREET PARKING REQUIREMENTS WHEN
A BUILDING IS ENLARGED OR INCREASED IN CAPACITY
IN ANY OF THE CITY'S ZONING DISTRICTS.
The City Council of the City of Lynwood DOES HEREBY ORDAIN
as follows:
SECTION 1. Section 25-14.1 of Ordinance No. 570, the Zon-
ing Ordinance, shall be amended to read as follows:
"25-14.1 Off-Street Parkin Applicability
In all zoning districts, there shall be provided at the time
any building is erected, enlarged, increased in capacity or changed
from a nonconforming use to a permitted use, off-street parking spaces
in accordance with the requirements of this chapter and the design
standards of the City, except where the floor area of a single-family
structure in a residential zoning district is increased by less than
fifty percent (50%)"
SECTION 2. Severability. If any section, subsection, sub-
division, sentence, clause, phrase or portion of this ordinance or
the application thereof to any person or place, is for any reason
held to be invalid or unconstitutional by the decision of any court
or competent jurisdiction, such decision shall not affect the val-
idity of the remaining portions of this ordinance or its applica-
tion to other persons or places. The City Council hereby declares
that it would have adopted this ordinance, and each section thereof,
irrespective of the fact that any one or more section, subsection,
sentences, clauses, phrases, or portions, or the application there-
of to any person or place, be declared invalid or unconstitutional.
SECTION 3. The City Clerk is hereby ordered and directed
to certify to the passage of this ordinance and to cause the same
to be published once in the Lynwood Press, a newspaper of general
circulation, printed, published, and circulated in the City of
Lynwood.
First read at a regular meeting of the City Council
of said City held on the 5th day of pctnbPr 1982, and
finally ordered published at a regular meeting of said Council
held on the 19th day of October 1982.
