CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT; MODULAR CLASSROOMS
PRESENT: Chairman Adrian Beazer, Members; Roy Hobbs, Dan Garren, Mike Taylor,
Lance Ellis, and Clerk Robyn Keyes.
VISITORS: None
PZ Chairman Beazer welcomed everyone and led the Pledge of Allegiance.
Minutes. The minutes were reviewed and approved.
Ordinance/ Comprehensive Plan review. The Comprehensive Plan and Title 11 in the
Code Book were reviewed and the Commission members decided everything looked in
order and up to date.
Emergency Operations Plan. The Emergency Operations Plan was discussed. The
Members agreed that the plan needed to be finalized. Clerk Keyes recommended the
Commission coordinate with the Police Chief. The Commission members decided to
work on getting a committee organized to help move forward with the plan.
Public Hearing. A public hearing was held for School District #93. The School District
was asking for a renewal of their conditional use permit to have a modular classroom at
Iona elementary. After holding the hearing and reviewing the request, the Commission
recommended to the Council to approve the School District's request to renew their
conditional use permit. See appendix A for hearing minutes.

PUBLIC HEARING 7:20 P.M. SCHOOL DISTRICT #93 CONDITIONAL USE
PERMIT RENEWAL
PRESENT: Chairman Adrian Beazer, Members; Roy Hobbs, Dan Garren, Mike Taylor,
Lance Ellis, and Clerk Robyn Keyes.
VISITORS: None.
Clerk Keyes explained that the School District wanted to renew their Conditional Use
Permit to have a modular classroom on the East side of the school building.
PZ member Garren asked if there had been any complaints by anyone regarding the
original permit.
Clerk Keyes said there had not.
PZ member Garren made a motion to recommend to the Council to approve the renewal
request.
PZ member Ellis seconded the motion.
All were in favor. Motion carried.
Public hearing closed 7:30 p.m.

The City of Iona's Planning and Zoning Commission has scheduled a public hearing on
the evening of April 14, 2010 at 7:00 P.M. at the Iona Community Center, which is
located at 3548 North Main Street, Iona, Idaho. The purpose of the hearing is to consider
the renewal of a conditional use permit granted to School District #93 to allow modular
classrooms at Iona Elementary. A second public hearing is scheduled for the evening of
Apri127, 2010 at 7:10 P.M. at the Community Center with the City Council for final
approval if so recommended by Planning and Zoning.
If you have any comments concerning this request, they will be considered at the public
hearing. Comments may be made in writing, but must be received by the City Clerk
seven (7) days before the public hearing.
