AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE ZONING ,ORDINANCE NO.

2007-287 AND ANY AMENDMENTS THERETO ADDING A SELF.:
SERVICESTORAGE USE IN A C.-. 13 ZONING DISTRICT,'
BE IT ENACTED by the City Council of the City of Tiffin, Iowa: . .

Section 1. Purpose.,. The purpose of this ordinance is to amend
Zoning Ordinance No 2007-287, 'Section,3, Commercial Digtricts, Table C,
,
to allow the perrifitted use of self-service storage.
Section ,2. Amendment. SectiOn 3, Commercial Districts; the ..
following is added to TABLE Ci SERVICE USES:
Self-Service Storage, permitted use, C-2B. -
Characteristies: Uses that prOviile separate indoor
storige`areas for individual"or business uses. The indoor • ,
..
• - storage'areas are designedrto*allow private access by the
tenant for storing and removing personal property. The ,
- 4 ' use may include,security and leasing offices.
--.,Examples: Miniwarehouses; ministorage facilities.
Section 3. Repealer. All ordinances or parts of ordiriancesin conflict.
with the provisions of this Ordinance are hereby repealed. . .
Section 4. Severability. If any section, provision, or part of this
ordinance shall be adjudged to be invalid oi unconstitutional, such
adjudication shall not affect'the validity of the ordinance ag.a whole, or any
. ' section, provision, or part thereof not adjudged invalid or unconstitutional.

, Section 5. ,Effective Date. This prdifiarice shall be in effect after its
,final passage, approval, and posting as provided by law.

On the 22nd, day of October 2014, at a regular meeting of the Tiffin City ,
Council, Tiffin, Iowa, Councilperson Ryan introduced Ordinance No. 2014- ,,
364, and moved that it be given its first reading. The motion was seconded
.by Councilperson Petersen.
Ayes: Kahler, Ryan, Petersen, Bartels . , .

Steve Berner declared 'the motion carried, and x Ordinance No 2014-364,
was read the first time and discussed and placed on record. ' r

On the 22nd-day of October 2014, at a regular meeting. of the Tiffin City
Council, Tiffin, Iowa, Councilperson Bartels introduced Ordinance No.
2oi4-364, and moved that it be given its second reading. The;motion was
seconded by Councilperson Kahler. I

Steve Berner declared,the ,motion- carried, and.Ordinance No. 2014-364,
was read the second time and discussed and placed on record.

364, and moved that it be given its third and last reading., The motion was
seconded by Councilperson Petersen. •

. Steve Berner declared the motion carried, and Ordinance No. 2014- 364,
Was then placed on its last reading and was read the last time: ,

Thereupon, it was moved by Councilperson Ryan and seconded by
Councilperson Petersen that Ordinance No. 2014-364 be placed,upon its
final passage and adopted. ' °

Four members of the council being present and having voted "Aye", Mayor
Steve Berner declared the motion carried, and the ordinance, was passed
and adopted.

Whereupon the mayor declared that Ordinance No. 2014-364 be adopted
and signified his approval of same by fixing his-signature thereto.
Passed by the council on the 22nd day of October 2014 and approv 'd by the
mayor on the 23rd day of October 2014.
