Meeting Minutes for the Scott Community College Entrance Signs

The meeting was called to order approximately 9:10 am by Heather Wren.
Heather first went through the election of officers, which it was voted on that Heather Wren is
the Chairman, and Byron Kime is the Secretary.
Heather stated that Scott Community College has applied for a variance for the proposed signage
at the new entrance to the college along Highway 67. The proposed signage height exceeds the
6.0’ height by ordinance. Heather stated that the signs should be larger because of the speed of
vehicles traveling in this area and that there is no good place to turn around for those people who
miss the turn.
Tully reported that the proposed height of the signs is acceptable since it is not directly adjacent
to a residential area.
Heather motioned to approve the sign variance, and the variance was approved.
The meeting adjourned at approximately 9:30 AM and no further discussions were held.
