Building Inspector Lou Wren was in attendance at the committees request, thanks Lou. Montie informed the commission that the changes and updates submitted by the committee for the Subdivision Ordinance was approved by the council. Per Mayor Franklin this was effective in October 2012. Each member was given a current copy of the Subdivision Ordinance. Montie informed the commission that the changes and updates submitted by the commission for the Zoning Ordinance has not yet been approved and that according to Mayor Franklin, this is still in the Mayor and Council's hands. Mayor Franklin cited some small issues such as typos, non-existent city employees, concerns that the various commercial categories are confusing, and confusion regarding the building permit process. Currently the City's Council, Eric Long, is reviewing the most recent draft and MSA has been requested to produce a more readable zoning map. When these things are complete, the Planning and Zoning Commission will be asked to do a further review of the ordinance. The commission discussed the landscape plan for Brenny's addition next to their current store. The applicable sections of the Zoning Ordinances were reviewed versus the landscape plan submitted by Brenny's and no deficiencies were found. The commission voted unanimously to approve Brenny's Landscape plan, contingent upon inspection at completion to assure compliance with the plan and the applicable sections of the Zoning Ordinance. Montie will send a letter to Brenny's notifying them of our decision and also to the Scott County Building Inspector requesting that he include the landscaping as part of his final inspection prior to granting occupancy. No future meetings are scheduled at this time. Meeting was adjourned at 7:00 PM ^Minutes *not present CC: City Clerk, Paula McIntosh
