HomeMy Public PortalAboutr 04:234No. 04-234 Date of Adoption July 22, 2004 ENDORSING FY 2004 NJDOT ROADWAY CATEGORY GRANT APPLICATION WHEREAS, the Mayor and Council of the Borough of Carteret, County of Middlesex, State of New Jersey are desirous of obtaining funding from the NJDOT Trust Fund Authority Act, Fiscal Year 2004 Municipal Aid Program for a significant roadway rehabilitation project; and WHEREAS, the Governing Body has authorized the Borough Engineer to recommend a Roadway Category Grant Application for submittal for funding under ?Y 2004 NJDOT Grant Program; and WHEREAS, the Borough Engineer has recommended and prepared a Roadway Project Application for the rehabilitation of Marion Street from Mulberry Street to the Woodbridge Township border; and WHEREAS, the Governing Body has reviewed the above described Roadway Project Application and has approved of the same, having determined that the referenced roadway rehabilitation project includes transportation improvements that are significant for the traffic distribution network within the region. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Council of the Borough of Carteret, County of Middlesex, State of New Jersey that the Borough of Carteret hereby endorses the submission of the above described FY 2004 NJDOT Roadway Category Grant Application to the New Jersey Department of Transportation and that the Mayor is hereby authorized to execute said application. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a certified copy of this Resolution along with three signed copies of the application be forwarded to the Borough Engineer for submission to the District Local Aid Office within the New Jersey Transportation.
