ORDINANCE NO. 1092
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF LYNWOOD TO AMEND SECTION 14. OS-A (d) AND
TO DELETE SECTION 14. OS-A (8) OF ZONING ORDINANCE
Np, 570 ~'JITH RESPECT TO FENCE HEIGH`T' REC~UIRE-
MENTS IN MANUFACTURING ZONES AND PROHIBITED
FENCES.
The City Council of the City of Lynwood hereby does ordain
as follows:
- .Section 1. To amend Section 14. OS-A (d) and to delete
Section 14. OS-A (8) of the Zoning Ordinance No. 570 as follows:
FENCES 1N ALL ZONES OTHER THAN RESIDENTIAL
Commercial Zones
1. No fence shall be greater than six feet,
in height in any commercial zone.
Manufacturing Zones
1. No person shall erect or construct any fence or
wall greater than six feet in height in the City,
or cause same to be done, without first obtaining
a separate building permit for each such fence or
wall from Building Official.
2. No fence without barbed wire shall be greater than
six (6') feet in height above the natural grade or
finish grade adjacent thereto.
3. No fence topped with barbed wire shall be less than
six feet in height not including the barbed wire, nor
over eight feet in height including the barbed wire.
4. No barbed wire fences shall protrude into public
right-of-way.
5. No fence shall be permitted whic~i surrounds outs(de
storage unless opaque screening is provided.
Section 2. The City Clerk is hereby ordered and directed
to certify to the passage of this Ordinance and to cause the same to be
published once in the Lynwood Press, a newspaper of general circulation,
printed, published and circulated In the City of Lynwood.
Section 3. Severabillty. If any section, subsection, sentence,
clause, phrase, or portion of this ordinance, or the application thereof
to any person or place, is for any reason held to be invalid or unconstitutional
by the decision of any court or competent jurisdiction, such decision shall:. ;•
not affect the validity of the remaining portions of this ordinaoce or Its -
application to other persons or places. The City Council hereby declares
that it would have adopted this ordinance, and each section, subsection,
subdivision, sentence, clause, phrase or portion thereof, Irrespective
of the fact that any one or more sections, subsections, subdivisions,
sentences, clauses, phrases , or portions, or the application thereaT
to any person or place, be declared lnvalId or unconstitutional.
First reading at the regular meeting of the City Counc(1 of
Bald City on the 5 day of February and finally adopted
and ordered published at a regular meeting of said Council head on
the 19 day of February, 1980.
