A RESOLUTION ALLOWING FOR A TEMPORARY WELL, FOR CONSTRUCTION
PURPOSES ONLY, AT THE CCA ELEMENTARY SCHOOL SITE

Whereas, The City recognizes that there was a communication mix-up between the
construction contractor, well driller and Johnson County of Public Health where no one
contacted the City of Tiffin to see if a temporary construction well was allowed and;
Whereas the City Council of the City of Tiffin recognizes that a temporary construction
well has already been drilled and installed at the CCA Elementary School construction
site; thus resulting in following the procedures in order to possibly allow or a temporary
well in the city limits;
Now, therefore be it resolved by the City Council of the City of Tiffin, Iowa to approve
allowing for a temporary well, for construction purposes only, at the CCA Elementary
School site.
On the 23rd day of July, at a regular meeting of the Tiffin City Council, Tiffin, Iowa,
Councilperson Upton introduced Resolution No. 2014-093, A RESOLUTION
ALLOWING FORA TEMPORARY WELL, FOR CONSTRUCTION PURPOSES ONLY,
AT THE CCA ELEMENTARY SCHOOL SITE and made a motion for approval. Motion
seconded by Councilperson Petersen.
Ayes: Kahler, Petersen, Bartels, Upton
Nays: none.
Absent: Ryan
Whereupon four Council members were present and voted approval and Mayor Berner
declared that the Resolution No. 2014-093, A RESOLUTION ALLOWING FOR A
TEMPORARY WELL, FOR CONSTRUCTION PURPOSES ONLY, AT THE CCA
ELEMENTARY SCHOOL SITE to be adopted and signified his approval of the same by
affixing his signature thereto.
Passed by the City Council on the 23RD day of July, 2014.
