Layered Cake Patisserie to Celebrate Grand Opening with
Ribbon Cutting on Saturday, July 26, 2014
Leesburg, VA (July 21, 2014) – On
Saturday, July 26, 2014, Town of
Leesburg officials will celebrate the
grand opening of Layered Cake
Patisserie bakery. Mayor Kristen
Umstattd will officiate a ribbon cutting
ceremony at 11:00am. Layered Cake
Patisserie is located at 9 Catoctin
Circle SW, Unit F in the Village Square
Shopping Center.
Owners and pastry chefs, Barbara and Anthony Chavez, are both graduates of The Culinary
Institute of America. In 2010, Anthony was selected as the "Best Pastry Chef of the Year" for
the greater Washington DC metropolitan area. They have been in business for three years and
participate in the Leesburg Summer Farmers Market.
Their store will specialize in custom cakes for all occasions, such as weddings, birthdays,
anniversaries and graduations. In addition, Layered Cake will offer a wide selection of pastries
including cookies, eclairs, croissants, French macarons and pies. Handcrafted espresso drinks
will be available with coffee roasted by Catoctin Coffee Company, based in Lovettsville.
Layered Cake Patisserie will be open Monday through Friday, 7:00am to 5:00pm, and Saturdays,
7:00am to 3:00pm. For more information, visit their website at
