SPECIAL MEETIN OF THE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF MEDINA
AUGUST 23,1961.
Meeting called to order at $ PM.
All members of the council were present.
Also present was Archie Carter, Village engineer.
Black topping of Independence Beach plat streets was discussed,
Engineer Carter gave the following cost estimates., for the
project.
Total cost for 1.6 miles $40,000.00
This would include 5 inches of gravel base, l inches of blacktop,
engineering and legal costs.
Cost of engineering, legal and .intersections and along village
park would be approximately 440,000.00.orr
This typep of blacktop street should be seal coated every 5
years, present costs of seal coating wotid be about 30# per
lineal foot of street.
Based on this estimate the cost to property owners would be
approximatley $300.00 per 60 foot lot.
Mayor Scott informed the council that the Building inspector
indicated he would resign. Motion by Winterhalter to place an
ad in the Minnetonka IHerald for applicants for the position of
building inspector. Second by H Arens, Motion carried.
September 12,1961 at $ PM was set for a special meeting at Lakeview
Dance hall to discuss Independence Beach streets.
Mr John Luby presented a letter to the council stating he will set
aside 2i acres for building permit number 10.
Motion by Winterhalter to adjourn, second by Arens, Motion carried.
