A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE EXTENSION
OF GARBAGE COLLECTION CONTRACT
Whereas, The City of Tiffin, Iowa and Steve Smith d/b/a/Johnson County Refuse,
entered into on Garbage Collection Contract dated July,1, 1995 and;
Whereas, said contract through various extensions has been extended to July 1, 2014
and;
Whereas, the parties desire to extend the expiration date of said contract and authorize
necessary signatures thereof;
Now, therefore it is mutually agreed between the parties:
1. That the Garbage Collection Contract extension dated July 1 1995 is hereby
extended to July 1 2019 (5 year increments).
2. All other terms and conditions of said contract shall remain the same.
On the 23`d day of July, at a regular meeting of the Tiffin City Council, Tiffin, Iowa,
Councilperson Upton introduced Resolution No. 2014-097, A RESOLUTION
APPROVING THE EXTENSION OF `GARBAGE COLLECTION CONTRACT
and made a motion for approval. Motion seconded by Councilperson Kahler.
Ayes: Upton, Petersen, Bartels, Kahler
Nays: none.
Absent: Ryan.
Whereupon four Council members were present and voted approval and Mayor Berner
declared that the Resolution No. 2014-097, A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE
EXTENSION OF GARBAGE COLLECTION CONTRACT
to be adopted and signified his approval of the same by affixing his signature thereto.
Passed by the City Council on the 23`d day of July, 2014`
