Board Members present: Mary Chaffee, RN, PhD, Chairman; Joanne Hughes, Vice Chairman; Lemuel
Skidmore, MS, MPH; Annie Sherwood, RN
{ Call to order: Chairman called the meeting to order at 7:00pm.
Board Members absent: Pat Ottolini
Others present: Nancy Ellis Ice, MPH, CHO, RS, Health Director; Tammi Mason, Senior Department
Assistant;
1. Reorganization of the Board
Joanne Hughes nominated Lemuel Skidmore as Chairman. Annie Sherwood seconded. Vote: 4-0-0
Mary Chaffee nominated Annie Sherwood as Vice Chairman. Joanne Hughes seconded. Vote: 4-0-0
Comprehensive Water Planning Committee representative-Lemuel Skidmore
Water Quality Review Committee representative-Annie Sherwood (alternate will be Joanne Hughes)
Recycling Committee representative-Mary Chaffee
Lemuel',Skidmore took over chairing the meeting.
2. Review and possibly approve Regulation Regarding Variance Requests
DiscusOon: This was brought back again because there had been questions on the definition section.
Joanne Hughes stated that she was comfortable leaving the definitions as they were. There were no changes
made to the current proposed regulation
Motion: Approve the regulation as written.
Motion: Joanne Hughes Second: Mary Chaffee Vote: 4-0-0 Action: Motion carried
3. Review and possible rescind the Well Testing Regulation
Discussion:,
Nancy Ice told the Board that there is already a section on well water testing in the existing well regulation and
there is no need for a separate regulation.

Motion: Rescind the well testing regulation
Motion: Mary Chaffee Second: Annie Sherwood Vote: 4-0-0 Action: Motion Carried
4. Discuss Planning Board application for 1399 Freeman's Way
Discussion:
Noted.
5. Discuss Planning Board application for 195 Underpass Road
Discus/Jon:
Joanne Hughes voiced her concern about washing cars on the site.
6. items the Chairman did not anticipate
The Board spoke about the meetings in August. They decided to hold 1 meeting on August 19, 2014.
Informational items were noted.
