ORDINANCE NO. 1053
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD
AMENDING SUBSECTION (b) OF SECTION 32-49 OF THE LYNWOOD
CITY CODE RELATING TO WATER RATES.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD DOES ORDAIN
AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Subsection (b) of Section 32-49 of the
Lynwood City Code hereby is amended to read as follows:
(b) Quantity Charge. In addition to the readiness
to serve charge set forth in this subsection, the rate supplied
to consumers through a meter shall be as follows:
Effective Date Rate Per 100 Cubic Feet Per Month
October 1, 1978 $0.30
Section 2. If any section, subsection, subdivision,
sentence, clause, phrase, or portion of this ordinance, or the
application thereof to any person or place, is for any reason held
to be invalid or unconstitutional by the decision of any court of
competent jurisdiction, such decision shall not affect the validity
of the remaining portions of this ordinance or its application
to other persons or places. The City Council hereby declares
that it would have adopted this ordinance, and each section, sub-
section, subdivision, sentence, clause, phrase or portion there-
of, irrespective of the fact that any one or more sections, sub-
sections, subdivisions, sentences, clauses, phrases, or portions
of the application thereof to any person or place, be declared
invalid or unconstitutional.
First read at an adjourned regular meeting of the
City Council of said City held on the 26th day of September,
1978, and finally adopted and ordered published at a regular
meeting of said Council held on the 3rd day of October, 1978,
by the following vote:
AYES: COUNCILMEN Green, Morris, Rowe, Higgins.
NOES: COUNCILMEN None.
ABSENT: COUNCILMEN Byork
