AN ORDINANCE OF TIIE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD AMENDING
ORDINANCE NO. 570, THE ZONING
ORDINANCE, BY ADDING PROVISIONS
RELATED TO SECOND-HAND STORE
ESTABLISHMENTS.
The City Council of the City of Lynwood hereby does
ordain as follows:
SECTION 1. Section 9,01 2
( ) of Ordinance No. 570 is hereby amended
to read:
(Z) Stores or shops for the conduct of wholesale
businesses, second-hand establishments or stores
(provided a Conditional Use Permit shall have
first been obtained from the Planning Commission).
Junk yards and salvage operations are specifically
not permitted. In addition, if said establishment
remains inoperative for a period of ninety (9p)
calendar days, operator shall be required to
obtain a Conditional Use Permit.
SECTION 2. If any section, subsection, subdivision, sentence,
clause, phrase, or portion of this ordinance, or the application thereof
to any person or place, if for any reason held to be invalid or unconsti-
tutional by the decision of any court of competent jurisdiction, such
decision shall not affect the validity of the remaining portions of this
ordinance or its application to other persons or places. The City
Council hereby declares that it would have adopted this ordinance, and
each section, subsection, subdivision, sentence, clause, phrase or portion
thereof, irrespective of the fact that any one or more sections, sub-
sections, subdivisions, sentences, clauses, pharases, or portions or the
application thereof to any .person or place, be declared invalid or un-
constitutional.
SECTION 3. The City Clerk hereby is authorized and directed to cause
a copy of this ordinance to be published in the LYNWOOD PRESS, a news-
paper of general circulation in the City, within fifteen (15) days after
the adoption .hereof.

said City held on the 16th day of January
finally ordered ~ 1979, and
published at a regular meeting of said Council held
on the 6t-h _ day of February
1979.
