BOARD OF HEALTH MEETING
TUESDAY, OCTOBER 21, 2014 AT 7:00PM
TOWN HALL, ROOM A
Board members present: Lemuel Skidmore, MS, MPH, Chairman, Annie Dugan, RN, Vice Chairman, Mary
Chaffee, RN, PhD and Carmen Scherzo, DVM.
Board members absent: Joanne Hughes.
Call to order: Chairman called the meeting to order at 7:00PM
Others present: Nancy Ellis Ice, MPH, CHO, RS, Health Director and Tammi Mason, Senior Department
Assistant.
1. Chairman's announcements
None
2. J.C. Ellis Design Co., Inc.-local variance request for 72 Wynn Way
This was continued until the November 18, 2014 meeting.
3. Amend the fee amount on the Animal Regulations
Mrs. Ice told the Board that this was an administrative change and did not need to come before the Board
because it had previously been approved.
4. Discuss and possibly approve changes to the Regulation Regarding Variance Requests for On-
Site Sewage Disposal Systems Applications
Mr. Skidmore thought it would be appropriate to wait and look further into this and check with Town Counsel
before making any changes.
The Board agreed to hold off and bring it back to the next meeting.
5. Discuss and possible approve changes to the Bedroom Definition
There was talk about different changes that could be made. Dr. Chaffee and Annie Dugan will make some
proposed changes and bring this back to the Board at the next meeting.
6. Discuss and possible approve changes to Zone II Deed Restrictions Regulation
This will be discussed at the next meeting.
7. Discuss potential changes to the Brewster Addendum page for Real Estate Transfer Inspection
Reports
There were suggestions to add "groundwater flow" and "Environmentally Sensitive Area" to the page. Dr.
Chaffee thought it would be a good idea to have a 1-2 page summary with the groundwater flow, depth to
groundwater, etc. added to the addendum.
Mrs. Ice will draft something up and bring back before the Board.
Informational items were noted.
