ORDINANCE NO, 1066
Aid INTERIM URGENCY ORDINANCE OF THE CITY
COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD PROHIBIT-
ING THE DEVELOPMENT OF PROPERTY WITHIN
A CERTAIN DESCRIBED AREA.
7'he City Council of the City of Lynwood hereby does
ordain as follows:
SECTION 1. No building shall be erected, constructed,
established, enlarged, or moved into or within the area
which is described in Exhibit "A" attached hereto and by
this reference incorporated herein as though set forth at
length.
SECTION 2. This ordinance is adopted pursuant to
Government Code Section 65858 and shall take effect immed-
iately as an interim urgency ordinance. With respect there-
to, the City Council hereby finds and determines that the
Planning Department is studying a new zoning ordinance with
particular emphasis being given industrial development, and
brat this interim urgency ordinance is necessary to prohibit
uses which may be incompatible with the provisions of such
necv zoning ordinance relating to industrial development.
SECTION 3. Unless further extended pursuant to Govern-
ment Code Section 65858, this ordinance shall expire and be
of no further force or effect four months from the date of
the adoption hereof.
SECTION 4. Severability. If any section, subsection,
subdivision, sentence, clause, phrase or portion of this
Ordinance, or the application '-hereof to any person or place,
is for any reason held to be invalid or unconstitutional by
the decision of any court of competent jurisdiction, such
decision shall not affect the validity of the remaining por-
tions of this Ordinance or its application to other persons
or places. The City Council hereby declares that it would
have adopted this Ordinance, and each section, subsection,
subdivision, sentence, clause, phrase or portion thereof,
irrespective of the fact that any one or more sections, sub-
sections, subdivisions, sentences, clauses, phrases, or
portions, or the application thereof to any person or place,
be declared invalid or unconstitutional.

Introduced and adopted at a regular meeting of the
City Council of said City on the 1st day of May, 19.79.
