ORDINANCE NO. 10~ AN INTERIM URGENCY ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF' THE CITY OF LYNWOOD PROHIPITING CERTAIN USES IN THE C-3 (HEAVY COMMERCIALJLONE 'The City Council of the City of Lynwood does hereby ordain as follows: Section 1. No building shall be erected, constructed, established, enlarged, or moved into or within the C-3 Heavy Commercial Zone which is used for the purpose of automobile or motorcycle repair and/or refurbishing, body and fender-works, painting or storage of used parts for reasori.of automobile or truck repair. Section 2. This ordinance is adopted pursuant to Government Code Section 65858 and shall take effect immediately as an interim urgency ordinance with respect thereto, the City hereby finds and determines that the Planning Department is studying a new zoning ordinance and this ordinance is necessary to prohibit uses which may be incompatible with the provisions of such new zoning ordinance relating to commercial uses. Section 3. Unless further extended pursuant to Government Code Section 65853, the ordinance shall expire and be of no further force or effect four months from the date of the adoption hereof. Section 4. Severability. If any section, subsection, subdivision, sentence, clause, phrase or portion of this ordinance, or the application thereof. to any person or place, is for any reason held to be invalid or unconstitutional by the decision of any court of competent jurisdictioq such decision shall not affect the validity of the remaining portions of this ordinance or its application to other persons or places. The City Council hereby declares that it ~3~ould have adopted this ordinance, and each section, subsection, subdivision, sentence, clause, phrase or portion thereof, irrespective of the fact that any one or more sections, subsections, subdivisions, sentences, clauses, phrases or portions, or the application thereof to any person or place, be declared invalid or unconstitutional. Section 5.. The City Clerk is hereby ordered and directed to certify to the passage of this ordinance and to cause the same to be published once in the Lynwood:Press, a newspaper of general circulation, printed, published and circulated in the City of Lynwood.
