AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF LYNWOOD AMENDING ORDINANCE
NO. 1071 PROVIDING FOR THE REIMBURSE-
MENT OF COUNCILMEN'S EXPENDITURES
The City Council of the City of Lynwood HEREBY DOES
ORDAIN as follows:
SECTION 1. In addition to the salary established by
Section 1 of Ordinance No. 1026, members of the City Council
shall be reimbursed the sum of $75.00 per month for expenses
incurred by them in connection with the performance of their
official duties within the city limits of the City of Lynwood.
No additional reimbursement for such expenses shall be per-
mitted. However, when authorized or directed by the City
Council to perform official duties outside of the city
limits of the City, members of the City Council may also be
reimbursed the reasonable and necessary expenses actually
paid by them in connection with the performance of such
official duties as authorized by the City Council.
SECTION 2. Severability. If any section, subsection,
subdivision, sentence, clause, phrase or portion of this
Ordinance, or the application thereof to any person or place,
is for any reason held to be invalid or unconstitutional by
the decision of any court of competent jurisdiction, such
decision shall not affect the validity of the remaining por-
tions of this Ordinance or its application to other persons
or places. The City Council hereby declares that it would
have adopted this Ordinance, and each section, subsection,
subdivision, sentence, clause, phrase or portion thereof,
irrespective of the fact that any one or more sections, sub-
sections, subdivisions, sentences, clauses, phrases, or
portions, or the application thereof to any person or place,
be declared invalid or unconstitutional.
SECTION 3. The City Clerk is hereby ordered and
directed to certify to the passage of this ordinance and to
cause the same to be published once in the Lynwood Press, a
newspaper of general circulation, printed, published and cir-
culated in the City of Lynwood.
First read at a regular meeting of the City Council of
said City held on the Eth day of Nnvamhar . 1979, and
finally ordered published at a regular meeting of said
Council held on the 20th day of NnvemhPr,.1979.
