ORDINANCE NO. 1081
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COONCIL OF THE
CITY OF LYNWOOD AMENDING SOBSECTIOLI (a)
OF SECTION 19-27 OF THE LYPIWOOD CITY
CODE RELATING TO THE TRAFFIC AND PARKING
COMMISSION
The City Council of the City of Lynwood hereby does
ordain as follows:
SECTION 1. Subsection (a) of Section 19-27 of the
Lynwood City Code hereby is amended to read as follows:
SEC. 19-27. Same-Powers and duties.
(a) With respect to parking matters, the
Commission shall suggest the most practical means
for coordinating the activities of all officers
and agencies of the City having authority with
respect to the administration and/ or enforcement
of parking reuglations; stimulate and assist in
the preparation and publication of reports con-
cerning parking; receive complaints having to do
with parking matters; and recommend to the City
Council and to the City Engineer, Chief of Police,
and other City officials ways and means of improv-
ing parking conditions and the administration and
enforcement of parking regulations.
SECTION 2. Severability. If any section, subsection,
subdivision, sentence, clause, phrase or portion of this
ordinance, or the application thereof to any-person or
place, is for any reason held to be invalid or unconsti-
tutional by the decision of any court of competent jurisdic-
tion, such decision shall not affect the validity of the
remaining portions of this ordinance or its application to
other persons or places. The City Council hereby declares
that it would have adopted this ordinance, and each section,
subsection, subdivision, sentence, clause, phrase or portion
thereof, irrespective of the fact that any one or more
sections, subsections, subdivision, sentences, clauses,
phrases or portions, or the application thereof to any
person or place, be declared invalid or unconstitutional.
SECTION 3. The City Clerk is hereby ordered and directed
to certify to the passage of this Ordinance and to cause the
same to be published once in the Lynwood Press, a newspaper
of general circulation, printed, published and circulated in
the City of Lynwood.
First read at a regular meeting of the City Council of
said City held on the 6th day of November. 1979, and
finally ordered published at a regular meeting of said
Council held on the 20th day of November , 1979.
