AN ORDINANCE OF TF?F. CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF LYNWOOD AMENDING SECTION 19-64 OF THE CODE
OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD RELATING TO SPEED
LIMITS GN CERTAIN DESIGNATED STREETS
The City Council of the City of Lynwood hereby does
ordain as follows:

speed on certain designated streets
It is hereby deter°mined upon the basis of an engineer-
ing and traffic investigation that the maximum speed permitted
by state law in certain business and residential districts in
the city shall be increased to a speed limit declared to be
reasonable and safe and which will be conducive to the orderly
movement of vehicular traffic under the conditions found to
exist upon such streets, and it is hereby declared that the
prima facie speed limit shall be as herein set forth on those
streets herein designated when signs are erected giving notice
thereof:

SECTION 2. Severability
Declared Prima Facie

If any section, subsection, subdivision, sentence,
clause, phrase, or portion of this ordinance, or the application
thereof to any person or place, is for any reason held to be
invalid or unconstitutional by the decision of any court of
competent ,jurisdiction, such decision shall not affect the
validity of the remaining portions of this ordinance or its
application to other persons or places. The City Council
hereby declares that it would have adopted this ordinance, and
each section, subsection, subdivision, sentence, clause, phrase
or portion thex•eof, irrespective of the fact that any one or
more sections, subsections, subdivisions, sentences, clauses,
phrases, or portions, or the application thereof to any person
or place, be declared invalid or unconstitutional,
First read at a regular meeting o.f the City Council
of said City held on the 4th day of January, 1977, and finally
adopted. and crdered published at a regular meeting of said
Council held on the 18th day cf Januar
