AMENDMENT TO CONTRACT BETWEEN THE
BOARD OF ADMINISTRATION
PUBLIC EMPLOYEES' RETIREMENT SYSTEM
AND THE
CITY COUNCIL
OF THE
CITY OF LYNWOOD
The Board of Administration, Public Employees' Retirement System, hereinafter
referred to as Board and the City Council of the City of Lynwood, hereinafter re-
ferred to as Public Ageney, having entered into a contract under date of May 7, 1946,
effective July 1, 1946, as amended effective November 1, 1951, February 1, 1954,.
August 1, 1959, December 1, 1964, November 13, 1966, January 1, 1975, July 13, 1975,
September 7, 1975, and November 14, 1976, and which provide for participation of
Public Agency in said System, Board and Public Agency hereby agree as follows:
A. The following subparagraph shall be added to Paragraph 5 of said contract:
5. (f~ Section 21389 (providing that miscellaneous members not covered
by federal Social Security who did not elect to be covered by
the 1959 Survivor Benefit when Public Agency added said benefit
to its contract shall be given another opportunity to elect to
be covered under the program for miscellaneous members.
B. This amendment shall be attached to said contract and shall become
effective on-the 11th day of December, 1977
