AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OP THt;,
CITY OF LYNWOOD ADIENDING SECTION 2-9 OF
^1fIE CODE OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD FIXING
TIIE COt4PENSATION OF CITY CLERK AND CITY
TREASURER
The City Council of the City of Lynwood hereby does
ordain as follows:
SECTION 1. Section 2-9 of the Code of the City of
Lynwood ins hereby amended to read as follows:
The compensation of City Clerk
of the City of Lynwood shall be the
sum of Eight hundred ($800.00) Dollars
per month. Effective March 14, 1978,
the compensation of the City Treasurer
of the City of Lynwood shall be reduced
from Eight Hundred ($800.00) Dollars to
Two Hundred ($200.00) Dollars per month.
The salaries of both officials shall be
payable bi-weekly or on such other basis
as the City Council may from time to time
determine.
SECTION 2. Severability. If any section, subsection, sub-
section, subdivision, sentence, clause, phrase or portion of this
Ordinance, or the application thereof to any person or place, is
for any reason held to be invalid or unconstitutional by the
decision of any court of competent jurisdiction, such decision
shall not affect the validity of the remaining portions of this
Ordinance or its application to other persons or places. '"he
City Council hereby declares that it would have adopted this
Ordinance, and each section, subsection, subdivision, sentence,
clause, phrase or portion thereof, irrespective of the fact that
--.. any one or more sections, subsections, subdivisions, sentences,
clauses, phrases, or portions, or the application thereof to any
person or place, be declared invalid or unconstitutional.
First read at a regular meeting of the City Council of said
City held on the 18th day of October 1977 and
finally ordered published at a regular meeting of said~Council
held on the 1st day of _ November , 1977 .
