AN qRDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF LYNWOOD AMENDING SECTION 2-58(b)
OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD RELAT-
ING TO COMPETITIVF. BIDDING FOR PUBLIC WORKS
PROJECTS
The City Council of the City of Lynwood hereby does ordain
as follows:
SECTION l. Subsection (b) of Rection 2-58 of the Code
of the City of Lynwood hereby is amended to read as follows:
(b) Rxcept as otherwise provided in this
article, nurchases of an estimated value
greater than mF~Tp THOUSAND FIVE HUNDRED
($2,500.00) DOLLARS shall be by written
contract ~aith the lowest responsible bid-
der described in this division.
SFCTION 2. Severability.
If any section, subsection, subdivision, sen-
tence, clause, phrase, or portion of this ordinance, or the appli-
cation thereof to any person or place, is for any reason held to
be invalid or unconstitutional by the decision of any court of
competent jurisdiction, such decision shall not affect the validity
of the remaining portions of this ordinance or its application to
the remaining portions of this ordinance or its application to
other persons or places. The City Council hereby declares that
it would have adopted this ordinance, and each section, subsection,
subdivision, sentence, clause, phrase or portion thereof, irre-
spective of the fact that any one or more sections, subsections,
subdivisions, sentences, clauses, phrases, or portions of the
application thereof to any person or place, be declared invalid
or unconstitutional.

First read at a regular meeting of the City Council of
said City held on the 17th day of August , 1976, and finally
adopted and ordered published at a regular meeting of said Council
held on the 7th day of September , 1976, by the followinq vote:
AYES: COUNCILMEN: gyork, Green, Higgins, Morris, Rowe.
NOES: COUNCILMEN: None.
ABSENT: COUNCILMEN: None.
