AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF LYNWOOD AMENDING SECTION 2-22
OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD RELAT-
ING TO THE SUCCE5SION TO OFFICE DURING THE
INABILITY OF THE CITY MANAGER TO ACTo
The City Couneil of the City of Lynwood hereby does ordain as follows:
SECTION 1. Section 2-22 of the Code of the City of Lynwood hereby
is amended to read as follows:
Sec. 2-22. Succession to Office During the Inability of the
City Manager to Act.
In case of the absence, suspension or disability of the City
Manager, City Council may designate the official who shall perform the duties
of the City Manager during his period oF absence, suspension or disability.
SECTION 2. Severability
If any section, subsection, subdivision, sentence, clause,
phrase, or portion of this ordinance, or the application thereof to any person
or place, is for any reason held to be invalid or unconstitutional by the decision
of any court of competent jurisdiction, such decision shall not affect the validity
of the remaining portions of this ordinance or its application to the remaining
portlons of this ordinance or its application to other persons or places. The
City Council hereby declares that it would have adopted this ordinance, and
each section, subsection, subdivision, sentence, clause, phrase or portion
thereof, irrespective of the fact that any one or more sections, subsections,
subdivisions, sentences, clauses, phrases, or portions, or the application
thereof to any person or place, be declared invalid or unconstitutional.
First read at a regular meeting of the City Council of said City held on
the 4th day of May, 1976, and finally adopted and ordered published at a regular
meeting of said Council held on the 18th day oF May , 1976.
