AN ORDINANCE OF 'I'HE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF LYNWOOD ESTABLISHING A TEMPORARY MORATORIUM
ON THE INSTALLATION OF WATER METERS
The City Council of th~ City of L.ynwood hereby does ordain as follows:
SECTION 1. Any provision of Chapter 32 of'the Code of the City of
Lynwood to the contrary notwithstandingn no flat rate water service shall be con-
verted to meter service pursuant to the provision~ of Section 32-52 (g) and (h) of
said Code during the perioci Yrom±heeffective dat~ of this ordinance through
December 31, 1976. During said period, hocvever~ flat rate water services shall
be converted to meter services pursuant to Section 32-52 (c) (3) until the supply of
water meters in th~ pos~ession of the City of Lynwood on March 23, 1976, shall
have been exhausted.
SECTION 2, This ordinance sharl automatically expire and shall be
of no further force and ef'fect as of the close of business on December 31, 1976.
SECTION 3. Severabilit
If any section, subssction, subdivision, sentence, clause,
phrase, or portion of this ordinance, or the application thereof to any person or
p3ace, is for any reason held to be invaiid or uncon,stitutional by the decision of
any court of competent juris~ietion, such decision shall not affect the validity of
the remaining portions of this ordinance or its application to the remaining portions
ofthis ordinance or its appYicationto other persons or places. The City Council
hereby declares that it woufld have aciopt~d this ordinar.ce, and each section,
subsection, subdivision, sAntence: clausey phras~ or portionthereof, irrespective
ofthefactthat any one or more sections, :ubsections, subdivisions, sentences,
clauses, phrases, or portions, or the application thereof to any person or place
be declared invalid or unconstitutional~

the 6th d~:~ o~ April , 1976, and finally adopte3 and
ordered published at a r~gular mc-~ting of said Council held on the 20thday of
April , 1976.
