HomeMy Public PortalAboutHousing Partnership -- 2014-11-19 Minutes Minutes of the Brewster Housing Partnership - November 19, 2014 Present - Allan Douglass, Peyton Johnson, Ralph Marotti, and Diane Panzire 1. A motion was made (by Diane Panzire and seconded by Peyton Johnson) to accept the minutes of 10/08/2014. Motion was carried 4-0. 2. The nomination of officers for the Brewster Housing Partnership: Chairperson - Diane Pansire was nominated (by Ralph Marotti and seconded by Peyton Johnson) - the nomination was carried 4-0. Secretary - Peyton Johnson was nominated (by Ralph Marotti and seconded by Diane Pansire) - the nomination was carried 4-0. 3. At the next meeting of the Cape Cod Commission Allan Douglass will discuss, with the newly appointed affordable housing contact person, affordable units in the Epoch- Brewster, Pleasant Bay and Maplewood nursing facilities. 4. The Partnership is seeking to expand its membership by at least one more person for the immediate future and continue to seek new members in order to grow the committee to nine members. 5. The Partnership has settled on the 3rd Wednesday of each month as the regular scheduled meeting day. 5. A discussion was held in relation to the LIP Comp permits. Properties Discussed included: 416 Yankee Drive, 385 Yankee Drive,:- : = - and a site in Belmont Park. 6. The issues of the Yankee Drive Condo association may require litigation - condo units and the length of time for rental agreements as well as the enforcement of the comprehensive permits. 7. The association fees for the Capeview project appear to be underestimated and questionable. The ZBA needs to be made aware of this issue and may require attendance at a ZBA meeting. This issue as well as special assessments and fees for affordable units should be objects of concern in future developments with affordable units. The issue of management was also raised and should be addressed also 8. The Habitat property on Tubman Road has been closed on Some title issues remain but the project appears to be progressing. 9. The recent Housing Summit was very well attended by local officials. The CDP will issue statements of findings and recommendations from the meeting. A follow- up meeting is planned. 10. Brewster Senior Housing, Big Fix Brewster-2016, and the hopes for a Volunteer Day-2015 were also discussed and future discussions are planned. A motion to adjourn was made at 7: 12 (by Peyton Johnson and seconded by Diane Pansire) - the motion was passed 4- 0. The next meeting will be held on Wednesday, December 17, 2014 at 6:00pm at the Brewster Town Offices. Submitted by Ralph Marotti
