Walma, Jr. 860 Peachtree St. NE Unit 2314 Atlanta, GA 30308-1282 Dear Mr. Walma, To follow up on our conversation of Wednesday, December 9, 2009, my concerns for projects at your residence at 10 Dogwood Avenue are as follows: • Work related to permit 09-0481 exceeded the scope of work of the permit to include replacement of the structural columns at the front of the house. These columns were not installed per Code and currently present a hazard. • Demolition of stairs at the left side of the house has begun without a permit. • Proposed work to include a new porch and stairs at the left side of the house must be permitted by you or a state licensed contractor. One other concern, beyond the scope of the above items, is the structural integrity of the balcony at the upper left side of the house. I have questions regarding that structure. Since it is existing there is no action that can be taken by this office other than to warn you of a possible hazard and offer a courtesy inspection. I would not be able to certify that structure as safe or not, but would be able to suggest future action you could take if warranted. Thank you for your cooperation.
