Small Town Retail Consultant Marc Willson to Present Seminar
for Local Retailers on Competing with National Chains
Leesburg, VA (August 15, 2014) – Marc Willson,
retail consultant for the Virginia Small Business
Development Center (SBDC) Network will be in
Leesburg on Monday, August 18, 2014, to present
a seminar aimed at helping local independent
retail stores compete with big box stores and
national chains. The seminar will be held at the
Mason Enterprise Center in downtown Leesburg
(202 Chuch St SE, Leesburg, VA 20175) from
10:30am to 12:30pm.
Competing with the Big Boys: How Independent Retailers Win and Keep the Customer will
cover topics such as:
• How to choose and position products
• How to make a business a shopping destination
• How to create a memorable experience for the customer
Cost for the seminar is $10 (event is free for Leesburg Downtown Business Association and
Catoctin Crescent Association members). Online registration is highly encouraged, as there are
