AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF LYNWOOD AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 570 TO ADD
SECTION 14, 15 RECai1IRING A CONDITIONAL USE PERNLiT
FOR AUTOMOBILE SERVICE STATIONS
THE CI'I'Y COUNC]L OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD DOES HEREBY
ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1, Sir~:'r:.~~;~ 44. 15 hereby is added to Zoning Ordinance 570
of the City of Lyr.wood ;.~a r~~ad as felluws:
"Sectior. l4. 15 - Cor~d~#ianal Use Permits for Automobile Service
Station UseS.
(a) Th~: Ci'sv Co~an~~?'.~ af the City of Lynwood finds that traffic
wathiri *he Ci~~/ ~s is;creasing appreciably and that such
commercia~ nses a~ an automobile service station, which
depends en*.irelr~ an and provides services specifically for
the autcm~~bi;~~ att7d ~which is located at the street inter-
se~.!i~ns. generates additional traffic movements, creating
margiraal i'rir_t~on which interrupts the efficient flow of
traffic ancl at~ds ta the vehicular congestion, thereby
contrflbtrt~ng to the potential traffic hazards at such inter-
ser,4ions, tQ t;he de+riment of the public health, safety and
weliar~, The Citv Cauncil further finds that automobile
servif e statriurrs dif*er from other uses because of unique
charas~t:ex~istic:; r~elating to the design of the service
stat:i~n si±~~. its physica5 appearance and nature of operations,
th-r. ntrd~e generated, hours of operation, inflammable nature
of px°a~9i~c+,a ha*:ri},ed, and vehicular traffic generated.

SECTION 2. "I'h- Ci*,~,~ C;~~rk is hereby ordered and directed to
certify to the passag~ ~t t.hss !~:dir~ance, and to cause the same to be published
in the Lynwood Pressy a r,eurspaper of general circulation, printed and
circulated in the Ci±a• ~:~i Lw~r~~n~oc~d.
First read at a r.~g-~!?ar meeting of the City Council of said City
held on the 7th da,v c,f August , 1973, and finally adopted
and ordered pubflished at: a reg~zflar meeting of said Council held on the
21st day of ~_Aup~ust , 1973, by the following vote:
