HomeMy Public PortalAboutTown Manager Evaluation Tool 2011 TOWN OF WATERTOWN PERFORMANCE EVALUATION OF THE TOWN MANAGER PURPOSE: The Town Charter as well as the Employment Agreement between the Town and the Manager, requires that an annual performance evaluation be conducted during July. The purpose of the evaluation is threefold: 1 . Ensure that the Manager is working towards the Goals and Objectives previously established by the Town Council . 2 . Serve as a means of formal communication between the Manager and the Council with respect to both past and future performances . 3 . Provide a basis upon which salary adjustment decisions can be based. PROCEDURE/TIMETABLE 1 . The Personnel and Town Organization Committee will finalize the evaluation form to be used and distribute it to Councilors by Friday, July 1, 2011 . 2 . Completed Fiscal Year 2011 Evaluations are due in the Council Office by Friday, July 22, 2011 . 3 . The Council President will prepare a Composite Evaluation for presentation to the Council at its August 9, 2011 meeting. 4. The Personnel and Town Organization Committee will make a recommendation on a salary adjustment, as well as a proposed list of goals and objectives for the following year.
