A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY ADMINISTRATORICL•ERK TO ENTER
INTO AN AGREEMENT WITH FORTE PAYMENTS AS THE PAYMENT GATEWAY
FOR ONLINE BILL PAY
Whereas, The City recognizes that a service needs to be selected to process the online
payment for utility customers and;
Whereas the City Council of the City of Tiffin recognizes that it is willing to absorb the
per -transaction fee for an a -check in the amount of the current rate of $ .25/transaction
and the customer would be accessed an online fee(depending upon their utility bill) for
using a credit/debit card of around $2.00-$2.50 per transaction,
Now, therefore be it resolved by the City Council of the City of Tiffin; Iowa to approve
authorizing the City Administrator/Clerk to enter into an agreement with Forte Payment
as the Payment Gateway for Online Bill Pay.
On the 27th day of August, at a regular meeting of the Tiffin City Council, Tiffin, Iowa,
Councilperson Upton introduced Resolution No. 2014-119,,A RESOLUTION
AUTHORIZING THE CITY ADMINISTRATOR/CLERK TO ENTER INTO AN
AGREEMENT WITH FORTE PAYMENTS AS THE PAYMENT GATEWAY FOR
ONLINE BILL PAY -and made a motion for approval. Motion seconded by
Councilperson Bartels.
Ayes: Kahler, Petersen, Bartels, Upton.
Nays: none.
Absent: Ryan.
Whereupon four Council members were present and voted approval and Mayor Berner
declared that the Resolution No. 2014-119, A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE
CITY ADMINISTRATOR/CLERK TO ENTER INTO AN AGREEMENT WITH FORTE
PAYEMENT AS THE PAYMENT GATEWAY FOR ONLINE BILL PAY to be adopted
and signified his approval of the same by affixing his signature thereto.
Passed by the City Council on the 27Th day of.August, 2014.
