Wellsburg, Iowa. Carried.
The Iowa State Highway Commission Budget Estimate for municipal
streets and parking as compiled by the town clerk was accepted on a
motion by Huisman, seconded by Heinrich. Carried.
The written and signed agreement between the Town of Wellsburg
and Pleasant Valley Township trustees for fire protection was
approved on a motion by Van Deest, seconded by Hippen. Carried.
Huisman moved and Fairbanks seconded for adjournment. Carried.

The Wellsburg Town Council met in special session on January
21 1973, for an organizational meeting for the 1973 calendar year.
The mayor appointed Paul Siefken and Alfred Krull as town
marshalls and maintenance employees. On a motion by Hippen, seconded
by Huisman, these employees are each to receive $575.00 per month
January through June and $600.00 per month July through December.
Carried.
On a motion by Fairbanks, seconded by Van Deest, the Peoples
Savings Bank of Wellsburg was named as official depository for
municipal funds for the year 1973 for an amount not to exceed
$1001000.00. Carried.
The mayor appointed Henry J. Grobe clerk and Bernard Harms
treasurer. On a motion by Van Deest, seconded by Heinrich, the
clerk's salary for 1973 was fixed at $110.00 per month. Carried.
Heinrich moved and Van Deest seconded a motion fixing the treasurer's
salary at $132.00 per year. Carried.
The mayor announced the following committee appointments:
Town hall and finance --Fairbanks, Van Deest
Water department --Heinrich, Hippen
Streets and alleys--Huisman, Heinrich
Fire and public safety --Tan Deest, Huisman
Sewer and sanitation--Hippen, Van Deest
Parks and recreation--Huisman, Fairbanks
Mayor pro tem--Huisman
Attorney--T. J. Heronimus
The meeting stood adjourned on a motion by Huisman,
by Fairbanks. Carried.

The Wellsburg Town Council met in regular session on January 8,
1973, with May Eckhoff presiding and Councilmen Huisman, Hippen,
Van Deest and Heinrich present.
Minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved on a motion
by Hippen, seconded by Huisman. Carried.
On a motion by Van Deest, seconded by Heinrich, the treasurer's
report was accented as read. Carried.
Huisman moved and Heinrich seconded the allowance of the following

motion by Van Deest, seconded by Hippen, it was moved
to table the
awarding of insurance contract until more information
could be secured.

The Wellsburg Town Council met in 6pecial session on January
29, 1973, at 7:30 P.M. with Mayor Eckhoff presiding and all council
members present.
Purpose of the meeting was to review insurance bid proposals.
After careful consideration, the revised bid -)to include additional
coverage�of Fischer Insurance Agency was accepted on a motion by
Heinrich, seconded by Van Deest. Carried.
There being no further business, the meeting stood adjourned.
